Judged Awards at this year's FTC league and regional championships
San Diego Region FTC Teams,
Hope all is well with you all after the fantastic League Championships! We look forward to seeing you again soon and some of you already at the Regional Championships on March 10th. This message is just a refresher to the message sent before the League Championships and a couple of clarifications.
Our Judges will be using a rubric developed for the SD Region from the judging guidance provided by FIRST. The goal of this rubric is to provide additional guidance to the teams and ensure a consistent judging process. While the intention is to bring additional rigor to the judged awards, teams should also remember that FTC judged awards are subjective in nature and, per FTC rules, "scored" rubrics and all judging notes cannot be returned to teams. We have made changes to the rubric this year, mainly to incorporate the Portfolio Requirements for the awards.
See you at the championships in the spirit of innovation and teamwork. You are the future innovators and leaders who can use the power of creative problem-solving.
Thank you and good luck at the Regional Championship!
