The Naval internship programs, SEAP (high school) and NREIP (college) internship application period has opened for Summer 2023. The application deadline closes Nov 1, 2022.
The Science and Engineering Apprenticeship Program (SEAP) places high school students in Department of Navy (DoN) laboratories where they take part in real Naval research for eight weeks during the summer. SEAP gives academically talented sophomores, juniors, and seniors interested in STEM the opportunity to learn about Naval research and technology while receiving first-class mentoring by top scientists and engineers. SEAP is a competitive program with around 300 placements in more than 30 laboratories around the country in which many participants go on to careers within the DoN. Interns are selected based upon academic achievement, personal statements, recommendations, and career and research interests. The Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (right here in San Diego) is a participating lab. Find out more at Naval STEM Interns

LJCDS is hiring a robotics instructor. This is an amazing opportunity to build a thriving program at an independent K-12 that leans heavily into tech and regularly partners with UCSD. Initial focus will be Upper School but could easily be expanded to reach down to the elementary school kids and First Lego League.
